The Graduate Program in Immunology is administered through the School of Medicine of the University of Pittsburgh.
It is one of the nine interdisciplinary programs leading to the Ph.D. degree from the School of Medicine. The faculty
who teach and advise students in this program have affiliations with several departments. Students in this program will
gain a broad knowledge of several biomedical fields (i.e. biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, genetics, virology
and others) during the first year of study, and will then focus their immunology curriculum on specific areas of interest
within the broad field of immunology. The curriculum is supplemented by seminars, journal clubs and laboratory rotations.
